Affliction VP confirms Fedor Emelianenko vs. Tim Sylvia
A heavyweight bout between the final PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko and former UFC champion Tim Sylvia will happen at "Afflictions Fights" on July 19 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
The fight was confirmed by Tom Atencio, the Vice President of Affliction Clothing, on this past weekend's episode of "Inside MMA" on HDNet.
"It was a long process, going back and forth," Atencio said on the signing of the main event. "Just trying to make everybody happy but also putting a fight together that I think all the fans wants to see."
Another heavyweight bout confirmed for the card will be a clash between two former UFC champions, Josh Barnett and Pedro Rizzo.
The event will be televised on pay-per-view and will feature around ten bouts.
